Description

- Heat oil/ghee in a pan to a medium/high heat. Add chopped onions and cumin seeds and sauté for 4-6 minutes.
- Add ginger, garlic, and chopped green chilli. Sauté for 2 minutes, until the raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ground cumin, and ground coriander, Stir well.
- Add cooked chickpeas and salt to the pan with 1 cup of water and coconut milk(optional). Mix them well with the spice mixture.
- Let the chickpeas simmer in the spice mixture for 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavours.
- Mix in the garam masala and adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste.
- Serve hot with rice, naan, or your favourite Indian bread. Garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
