Ingredients

  • 500g minced chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic (crushed)
  • 2-3 Thai bird chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Steamed jasmine rice, for serving
  • Fried egg (optional), for serving
  • Instructions
    1. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and chopped Thai chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
    2. Add ground chicken to the pan. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned.
    3. Stir in oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
    4. Add fresh Thai basil leaves to the pan. Toss until the basil wilts and becomes aromatic.
    5. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
    6. Serve the Pad Krapow Gai over steamed jasmine rice.
